Serge Lutens is one of the most famous perfumers in Europe and the world. Unlike many perfumers of our time, Serge Lutens was able to gain popularity long before the appearance of his trademark. Serge Luten was born in 1942 in the north of France in Lille.
At 14, Serge quits school and gets a job in one of the beauty salons. At first, he was an ordinary apprentice, but then he became a real master. His career as a creative person began with creating amazing hairstyles that delighted all fashion stylists and salon visitors.
Then Serge decided to move to a new stage and took up makeup. His favorite option was the combination of black-lined eyes with bleached skin. Such a contrast has confused many stylists, but Serge did not stop there. He showed photos of models with such makeup to the editor-in-chief of the fashion magazine Vogue. After that, the magazine invited Serge Luten to collaborate with him.
From 1963 to 1968, Maestro Luten created covers for the magazine that is still popular today. In addition, the photo and fashion sections were entrusted to him. The pictures Serge took amazed the public and all the fashion stylists of that time.
